Introduction

The purpose of these pages is to provide surgeons with the ability to calculate a mortality risk online for their patients using the ACPGBI Malignant Large Bowel Obstruction (MBO) model. Malignant large bowel obstruction is a high-risk condition, occurring in 15% of patients presenting with colorectal cancer. The model is based on data from a prospective multicentre study. The model can be applied in everyday practice as an adjunct to the process of informed consent.

Calculate an ACP MBO Score
